atha bījaḥ-
yat tu svalpam upakṣiptaṃ bahudhā vistṛtiṃ gatam | 9
kāryasya kāraṇaṃ prājñais tad bījam iti kathyate |
uptaṃ bījaṃ taror yadvad aṅkurādi-prabhedataḥ ||
