śobhāyai vedikādīnāṃ yathā puṣpākṣatādayaḥ |
tatha rtu-varṇanādis tu prasaṅge prakarī bhavet ||
Just as flowers, unbroken grains, and the like are [scattered] for the adornment of altars and the like, / so description of seasons and the like in context becomes an episodic incident (prakarī)."
