tathā ca (19.33)-
arthopakṣepaṇaṃ yatra līnaṃ sa-vinayaṃ bhavet |
śliṣṭa-pratyuttaropetaṃ tṛtīyam idam iṣyate ||

And so [Bharata says] (19.33):
"Where the introduction of a matter is concealed and polite, / provided with a double-meaning reply, that is accepted as the third."
