go-rakṣaṇaṃ sama-daśātrava-māna-bhaṅgaḥ
prītir virāṭa-nṛpater upakāriṇaś ca |
paryāptam ekam api me samartosavāya
sarvaṃ punar militam atra mamaiva bhāgyaiḥ ||
“The protection of the cattle, the breaking of the pride of foes of equal station, / and the gratification of King Virāṭa, who has been a benefactor— / even one of these would suffice for my joy of battle; / yet here all have converged together by my very own good fortune!”
