nānā-vidhānām arthānāṃ rasānām api kāraṇam |
tan mukhaṃ tatra cāṅgāni bījārambhānurodhataḥ ||
|| 30 / which is the cause of diverse matters and of the aesthetic sentiments as well, / that is the opening (mukha); and in it are subdivisions corresponding to the germ and the beginning.
