3.47.p2

kula-putraketi saprasāmad āśliṣṭo' smi ity upakramyaà sa hi naktaṃ-carāṇāṃ nisargāmitro viśvāmitro vrata-caryayā, vīra-vrata-caryayā samartho daśaratho' pi tathāvidha eva eva (1.25 padyād anantaraṃ] ity antena viśvāmitrārambhasya mālyavadādi-vitarka-gocaratvena bahulīkaraṇāt parikaraḥ |

Beginning with: ‘Noble youth, I have been embraced with favor...’ and ending with: ‘For that Viśvāmitra is a natural enemy of the night-stalkers through the practice of his vow, and Daśaratha, capable through the practice of the warrior's vow, is of like nature’ [after verse 1.25], there is amplification (parikara) because Viśvāmitra's undertaking is proliferated by becoming the object of speculation by Mālyavat and others.
