hastamūlaṃ ṣaḍegulyaṃ dvāviṃśatyasya dīrghakam
tadaṃgulyagravistāraṃ sārdhamātraṃ dvijottama

The base of the trunk is six aṅgulas, its length twenty-two [aṅgulas]; / the width of the tip of that trunk is one and a half measures, O best of the twice-born.
