ardhāṃgulaṃ ghanaṃ tasya karṇamūlaṃ dvayāṃgulam
yadvadgajānanaṃ tadvatkartavyaṃ tu mukhaṃ dvija
Its thickness is half an aṅgula; the base of the ear is two aṅgulas; / just like an elephant's face, so should the face be made, O twice-born.
