mānasāra-ṛṣi kṛta śāstraṃ mānasāramunināmakamāsīt
tattu śilpivaradeśikamukhyaiḥ svīkṛtaṃ sakalalakṣaṇapūrvam
The treatise composed by the sage Mānasāra bore the name of the sage Mānasāra; / and that was received, with all its characteristics, by the pre-eminent gurus of the best artisan-architects.

Thus ends the first chapter, named 'Summary', in the architectural treatise Mānasāra.
