kṣudramadhye tu mukhye tu prathamādyaṃ tu bhūmikam
tena harmyeṣu yogyaṃ syātkalpayecchilpivittamaḥ
On the small, intermediate, or principal [edifices], on the first and other storeys; / thus it is suitable for edifices; the best of artisan-architects should plan it.
