bāhyake cottaraṃ sarvaṃ yuktyā kāṣṭhavaśānnyaset
tasyāntaḥ pādamadhyāntaḥ prastīryāttu yathottaram
And on the exterior, one should place the entire entablature skillfully according to the timber; / within it, reaching the middle of the pillars, one should spread [it] following the beam.
