tatpādamadhyamocyāntamaṅgulādaṅghrimadhyamam
evaṃ tu madhyamaṃ śreṣṭhaṃ harmye dvārasya yogataḥ
From the digit [measurement], the center of the pillar is called the center of the pillar; / thus the central [placement] is best in the edifice for the fitting of the door.
