sthapatistu svaturyebhyastribhyo gururiti smṛtaḥ
sūtragrāhī gururdvābhyāṃ turyebhyo'dya iti smṛtaḥ
The master-architect is known as the teacher to the other three of his group; / the surveyor is known as the teacher to two, being primary among the remaining;
