tadevaṣoḍaśastambhaṃ tyajetkarṇacatuṣṭaye
caturdikṣu caturbhāgaṃ vedabhāgaikabhadrakam

One should omit those sixteen pillars in the four corners; / on the four sides there are four parts, and a central projection of one fourth-part;
