dviguṇāṃ cāyatāḥ śālā bhūsurādicatuṣṭaye
śālāviśālatārabhya pādādyardhaṃ tripādakam

The halls are twice as long as wide for the four [classes] beginning with brāhmaṇas; / beginning from the width of the hall, [the length is increased by] one-quarter, one-half, or three-quarters;
