adhiṣṭhānasamaṃ śreṣṭhaṃ tripādaṃ madhyamaṃ bhavet
tadardhaṃ kanyasaṃ proktaṃ trividhaṃ liṅgamīritam
Equal to the plinth base is the largest, three quarters is the intermediate,
and half of it is declared the smallest: thus the threefold liṅga is stated.
