guṇanāgaṃ ca yoni syādvṛddhihānyā yathākramam
nandavṛddhyā ṛṣiṃ hṛtvā taccheṣaṃ vārameva ca
Multiplied by eight [and divided by eight], the remainder is the yoni, in order of increase and decrease. / Multiplying by nine and dividing by seven, that remainder is the weekday.
