aṅgamaṅgaṃprati prājñairvṛddhirhānistathocyate
tathā masūrakāṇāṃ tuyuñjīyādupapīṭhake
Increase and decrease are declared member by member by the wise; / likewise, it should be applied to the pedestals of sub-bases.

āttādhiṣṭhānatuṅgād dviguṇamatha samaṃ sārdhamardhaṃtripādaṃ
pañcāṃśadvyaṃśakaṃ vānalasamabhajite dvyekamātropapīṭham
Double the height taken for the base, or equal to it, one and a half, half, three-quarters,
or two-fifths; or, when divided into three equal [parts], the pedestal is two or one [part] in measurement.
