āttotsedhāṃśamānena pādoccaṃ vā vidhīyate
āttādhiṣṭhānatuṅgasya dviguṇaṃ pādatuṅgakam

or the pillar-height is prescribed by taking the proportional measure of the height; / twice the height of the base taken is the pillar-height;
