jānuvyāsaṃ cottarārdhacūlikārdhārdhamevavā
daṇḍikāvipulaṃ tāvat tripādārdhaṃtutaddhanam
The breadth of the knee-piece is half of the beam, or a quarter of the peak piece; / the width of the small staff is that much, and its thickness is three-quarters or half.
