caturṇāmadhikārāṇāṃ bhūrevādau pravekṣyate
bhūtānāmādibhūtatvādādhāratvājjagatsthiteḥ

Among the four subjects, the ground alone will be examined first, / because it is the primal origin of all beings and the support of the world's existence.
