gṛhāyate nandavibhāgabhājite śarāṃśakairdakṣiṇabhāgamādhikam
adakṣiṇe bandhapadaṃ tadantare vidhīyatāṃ dvāramathaikaśālake
When the house length is divided into nine parts, with five parts the southern side is larger; / in the non-southern side lies the fixed plot: in the space between, let a doorway be placed in a single hall.
