stambhāyāmāṣṭabhāgonaṃ tuṅgadvāraṃ surālaye
nandapaṃktyaṃśahīnaṃ vā vistāraṃ syāt tadardhataḥ

In a temple, the doorway height is diminished by an eighth part of the pillar length, / or diminished by a ninth or tenth part; the width should be half of that.
