dehāmbugau sukhāṅgeśau vatuṣpājjananaṃ bhavet |
deheśe sukhape vā'hiketuyukte paśorjaniḥ ||
When the lords of the fourth and the ascendant are in the ascendant and fourth house respectively, the birth of a quadruped occurs; / or when the lord of the ascendant or the lord of the fourth is conjoined with Rāhu or Ketu, the birth is of an animal.
