atha buddhivicāraḥ |
duḥsthe buddhisthānape'dṛśyage vā jāto mandaprāyabuddhi sameti |
kendre koṇe saumyavāgiśayukte vīryopete buddhimāniṅgitajñaḥ ||

Now, the consideration of intellect: / When the lord of the house of intellect is in an evil house or in the invisible hemisphere, the native attains a slow-witted intellect; / when it is in a cardinal angle or trine, conjoined with Mercury or Jupiter and endowed with strength, the native is intelligent and perceptive of signs.
