antardaśā pāka jñāna
ardhamekasthito bhāgaṃ tribhāgaṃ sutadharmayoḥ |
saptame saptamaṃ bhāgaṃ caturthaṃ catuśrayoḥ ||

Knowledge of the maturation of sub-periods:
[A planet] situated in the same [sign] has half a share; in the fifth and ninth, a third share; / in the seventh, a seventh share; and in the fourth [and tenth], a fourth [share].
