48.4

kaiścidapi kālamṛtyorapi vañcanopāyo darśataḥ|
tathā ca|
rasāyanaṃ tathā dvavyayogayuktairmahātmabhiḥ|
kālamṛtyurapi prājñairjīyate nālasairnaraiḥ||

By some, however, a means of circumventing even timely death has been shown.
As it is said:
"Through elixir (rasāyana) and similarly through compound substances applied by great-souled men,
even timely death is conquered by the wise, but not by indolent men."
