48.80

svasthaḥ sa labhate vyādhiṃ vyādhito mṛtyumṛcchati|
carakastu|
yasya darśanamāyāti māruto'mbaragocaraḥ|
agnirnāyati vā dīptastasyāyuḥ kṣayamādiśet||

if healthy, contracts disease; if diseased, meets death."
Caraka, however:
"He to whose sight the wind moving in the sky appears,
or who does not see blazing fire, one should declare the end of his life."
