sthite iti sthira ityarthaḥ|
sa eva|
agniṃ prakṛtivarṇasthaṃ nīlaṃ paśyati niṣprabham|
kṛṣṇaṃ vā yadi vā śuklaṃ so'gnau vasati saptamīm||
"Stationary" [sthite] means motionless [sthiraḥ].

"If one sees fire, which is in its natural colour, as blue, lustreless,
black, or white, he resides in fire on the seventh [night]."
