nāmri varṇasvarātṛsaṃkhyā saṃkhyā mātrāsvarāttatha |
piṇḍe śarahṛte śeṣe piṇḍasvara ihocyate ||

When the sum is divided by five, the remainder is declared here as the aggregate sound.
