There, the zodiacal signs of the Sun and the others are: Mars rules Aries and Scorpio; Venus is the lord of Taurus and Libra; Mercury of Virgo and Gemini; but the Moon rules Cancer; the Sun is the lord of Leo; Saturn of Capricorn and Aquarius; Jupiter is declared of Pisces and Sagittarius by the best of calculators. Regarding the arrangement of friends and the rest, Ācārya Varāhamihira says: 'Saturn and Venus are enemies of the Sun, Mercury is neutral, and the rest are friends. The Sun and Mercury are friends of Jupiter, and the rest are neutral. Jupiter, the Moon, and the Sun are friends of Mars, Mercury is an enemy, Venus and Saturn are neutral. The Sun and Venus are friends of Mercury, the Moon is an enemy, and the others are neutral. To Jupiter, Mercury and Venus are enemies, Saturn
