five cells, the pentad of lunar days beginning with Nandā (Nandā, Bhadrā, Jayā, Riktā, Pūrṇā) [is to be written]. That is as follows: the first, sixth, and eleventh in the eastern cell; the second, seventh, and twelfth in the cell in the southern direction; the third, eighth, and thirteenth in the western cell; the fourth, ninth, and fourteenth in the northern cell; and the fifth, tenth, and fifteenth [lunar days] are to be written in the central cell. In this manner, the heptad of weekdays is to be written in order, beginning with Mars and the Sun. Regarding 'Mars and the Sun': on Nandā, in the place of the first [lunar day], the two weekdays Mars and the Sun; on Bhadrā, in the place of the second, Mercury and the Moon; on Jayā, in the place of the third, Jupiter; on Riktā, in the place of the fourth, Venus; on Pūrṇā, in the place of the fifth, Saturday is to be written. Thus has it been determined by earlier sages in the diagrammatic wheel. This elaboration of the Sarvatobhadra has been declared by me.
