udayāstāca(la)maulir jayati ravir gaganatilakaikaḥ//

A lion unto the elephants of dense darkness, the lord of the mansion of the three worlds, the eye of the universe, / whose crest is the mountains of sunrise and sunset, the unique ornament of the firmament—victorious is the Sun!
