119. Here the Sanskrit reads snigdhavacanasatyapālanatayā (Samtani: 1971, p. 60): “because he guarded affectionate speech and truth.” Samtani proposes that the Tibetan should correspond to sattvebhyaḥ mṛduvacanālapanatayā (Samtani 1971, p. 60, n. 2).
