This mark is not in Samtani’s edition but is reported by Samtani as found in Ms, F, and ANe (Samtani 1971, p. 62, n. 3) with the addition of one reason in the manuscript that Samtani abbreviates as Ms: “and helped broken sentient beings to cross beyond their own troubles” (bhinnasattvasantāraṇatayā). It is also found in the Nibandhana commentary (Samtani 1971, pp. 305–6).
