37. Here the Sanskrit reads tatra rūpabhavaḥ katamaḥ tadyathā brahmakāyikāḥ brahmapurohitāḥ mahābrāhmaṇaḥ parīttābhāḥ apramāṇābhāḥ ābhāsvarāḥ parīttaśubhāḥ śubhakṛtsnāḥ anabhrakāḥ puṇyaprasavāḥ bṛhatphalāḥ avṛhāḥ atapāḥ sudṛśāḥ sudarśanāḥ akaniṣṭhāś ceti (Samtani 1971, p. 12). This could be translated as “What, then, is existence with form? It is those in the Brahmā group, the Provosts of Brahmā, the Great Brahmās, Limitedly Splendid, Splendid without Measure, Wholly Good, Unclouded, Merit Increasing, Abundant Result, Not Great, Without Pain, Seeing Well, Good Sight, and Lesser than None.”
