The Long Āgama Sūtra 13.15

13.15

又告阿難：「緣愛有取，此為何義？若使一切眾生無有欲愛、有愛、無有愛者，寧有取不？」

He also told Ānanda, “‘Grasping exists conditioned by craving.’ What does this mean? Suppose that no sentient being had any craving for desires, existences, or non-existence. Would there be clinging?”
