18.5

佛告舍利弗：「善哉！善哉！汝能於佛前說如是語，一向受持，正師子吼，餘沙門、婆羅門無及汝者。云何，舍利弗！汝能知過去諸佛心中所念，彼佛有如是戒、如是法、如是智慧、如是解脫、如是解脫堂不？」

The Buddha told Śāriputra, “Good! It’s good that you can make such a statement in front of the Buddha. By exclusively upholding the correct lion’s roar, no other ascetic or priest will match you. How is it, Śāriputra? Do you know the thoughts that were in the minds of Buddhas in the past? Did those Buddhas have such precepts, such teachings, such wisdom, such liberation, and such a hall of liberation?”
