其間未久，時，魔波旬來白佛：「佛意無欲，可般涅槃，今正是時，宜速滅度。」

It wasn’t long before Māra the Wicked One came to the Buddha and said, “The Buddha’s heart desires nothing. He can parinirvāṇa. Now would be a good time. He ought to be extinguished soon.”
