佛告王曰：「汝愚冥無識，迷於五欲，乃害父王，今於賢聖法中能悔過者，即自饒益。吾今愍汝，受汝悔過。」
The Buddha told the king, “You were foolish, benighted, and unaware. You were deluded by the five desires when you harmed your father, the king. Now someone who can repent in this noble teaching benefits himself. Now, I have compassion for you and accept your repentance.”
