The Long Āgama Sūtra 8.8

8.8

時，彼梵志遙見散陀那居士來，即勅其眾，令皆靜默：「所以然者？彼沙門瞿曇弟子今從外來，沙門瞿曇白衣弟子中，此為最上，彼必來此，汝宜靜默。」時，諸梵志各自默然。

When that wanderer saw the householder Sandhāna coming from a distance, he ordered his followers, “Be quiet! What’s the reason? A disciple of the ascetic Gautama is coming from outside. He’s the best of the ascetic Gautama’s lay disciples. He’ll surely come here, so you ought to be quiet!” The wanderers then fell silent.
