9.4

At that time, on the fifteenth day at the full moon, the Bhagavat was seated in the open air, surrounded before and behind by the saṅgha of bhikṣus. After the Bhagavat had taught the Dharma for much of the night, he said to Śāriputra: "Now the bhikṣus from the four directions are gathered together, all practicing diligently and abandoning sleep. My back aches, and I wish to rest for a while; you may now preach the Dharma to the bhikṣus."
