The Buddha told the monks, “This is the way it always is with buddhas. When he was born, Bodhisattva Vipaśyin emerged from his mother’s right side, and he was focused and undisturbed. Two streams of water sprang forth, one warm and one cool, which were provided for bathing him. This is the way it always is [with buddhas].”
