“Moreover, the ascetic Gautama is honored, respected, and given offerings by his disciples, and he’s respected by gods, demons, and other spirits, too. The Śākya, Kuru, Maineya, Vṛji, Malla, and Soma peoples also honor him. Having achieved such status, we should go visit him; he shouldn’t come visit us.
