'He then accomplishes the faculty of faith in the Tathāgata, with roots unshakeable, erecting a high and prominent banner that cannot be moved. Gods, nāgas, spirits, asuras, śramaṇas, brāhmaṇas, or worldly people find joy in it, and their minds become upright. He is the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, Vidyācaraṇasampanna, Sugata, Lokavid, Anuttara, Puruṣadamyasārathi, Śāstā devamanuṣyāṇām, called Buddha, the Blessed One; finding joy in him, his mind becomes upright, and he also accomplishes [faith in] the Dharma. The Dharma of the Tathāgata is extremely pure, immovable, loved and revered by people. Thus the wise should view it, and then find joy in it; he also accomplishes [faith in] the Saṅgha. The noble assembly of the Tathāgata is extremely pure, gentle and pure in conduct, accomplished in phenomenon after phenomenon, accomplished in morality, accomplished in samādhi, accomplished in wisdom, accomplished in liberation, and accomplished in the knowledge and vision of liberation. As for the noble assembly, it consists of the four pairs and eight persons; this is the Tathāgata's noble assembly, lovable, venerable, and truly worthy of being served. Finding joy in it, his mind becomes upright.'
