是時，蜱肆王在正殿上，遙見斯惒提梵志、居士，各與等類相隨而行，從斯惒提並共北出，至尸攝惒林。蜱肆王見已，告侍人曰：「此斯惒提梵志、居士，今日何故各與等類相隨而行，從斯惒提並共北出，至尸攝惒林？」

At that time, King Pāyāsi was on the main terrace of his palace and saw from afar the brāhmaṇas and gṛhapatis of Setavyā, each accompanied by their peers, setting out together from Setavyā toward the north, heading for the Śiṃśapā Grove. Having seen them, King Pāyāsi said to an attendant: "Why are these brāhmaṇas and gṛhapatis of Setavyā today each accompanied by their peers, setting out together from Setavyā toward the north, heading for the Śiṃśapā Grove?"
