21. Reading with Ky, K, N, C, H spong, as in previous verses. D here reads sbyong (“purify, refine”), which appears to be a scribal error. See Mahāvyutpatti no. 1692: pāruṣyāt prativiratiḥ–tshig rtsub po smra ba spong ba.
