This set of eight aspects that “ornament” the practice and accomplishment of the bodhisattva path is almost identical to a set of eight “ornaments of bodhisattvas” listed in The Sūtra of the Prophecy Concerning Strīvivarta (Strīvivartavyākaraṇa, Toh 190). Two of the items in the two sets are different, but the almost identical phrasing of most of the list leaves little doubt that they share a common origin. See also .
