While Pelliot 428 is not wholly unrelated to the later translation by Amoghavajra and Bari Lotsāwa, there are enough differences between this early version of The Mārīcī Dhāraṇī to assume that the Imperial era translation and the later translation by Amoghavajra and Bari Lotsāwa were derived from different source texts.
