assuming forms at will, being mighty and subduing others, and having become the sole guide of all sentient beings, one will become a great physician, supreme, with immeasurable life. In the same way, one should also accomplish the vajra, wheel, trident, and so forth. Thus, however one applies this great dhāraṇī of immeasurable benefits—the essence of all the Tathāgatas, exceedingly difficult to find—in that very manner will the actions be accomplished. Moreover, whoever recites this dhāraṇī called 'Victorious Uṣṇīṣa of All the Tathāgatas' twenty-one times at the three times of each day, makes a great stūpa, properly keeps [the dhāraṇī], and also explains it widely to others, will attain happiness, possess strength, be free from disease, live for a hundred years, have a sharp intellect, and remember past lives. When their time of death arrives, like a snake shedding its skin, they will cast off their own body and be reborn in the world realm of Sukhāvatī. Even the sound of the hells will not reach their ears, so how could their karmic fruition ever ripen? Wherever they are reborn, in those very places they will remember their past lives." When the Blessed One had spoken these words, the entire retinue along with the world of gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The Dhāraṇī Called 'Victorious Uṣṇīṣa of All the Tathāgatas' with Its Ritual Manual is complete.
